How do I place web counters and PayPal widgets on my WordPress website?

Hi, I need a step by step account on how to install a donate PayPal wigget and a site counter on my Wordpress website. I just signed up for one however it seems that the website is totally different from years ago when putting widgets and plug ins. Please help. More
